This year’s celebration is extra significant as it coincides with 3.5 years since Russia’s full-scale invasion. Ukrainians continue to fight heroically for freedom and peace, and we stand together to show unwavering solidarity.

Program:
12:00–13:00 – Political rally at Eidsvolls plass
Speeches by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Norway, Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, Ine Eriksen Søreide, Guri Melby, Tor-Mikkel Wara, and other prominent politicians.
13:00–14:00 – Ukrainian Children’s Parade for Peace and Freedom
The parade will go from Spikersuppa to the Royal Palace and back. Bring flags, wear Ukrainian colors or traditional clothing!
14:00–15:30 – Music, culture, and family activities in Spikersuppa.

Live podcast event with Ukrainapodden at Shamrock Løkka (doors open at 18:00), featuring Espen Barth Eide, Ine Eriksen Søreide, author Erika Fatland, and Ambassador Oleksiy Gavrysh.
📍 Similar events will take place across Norway, including Bergen, Stavanger, Ålesund, Tønsberg (23 Aug), Kristiansand, Lillestrøm (Etnofestival, 23 Aug), Drammen, Grimstad (23 Aug), Bodø, Tromsø, and Haugesund.
