Building Norwegian-Ukrainian Construction Partnerships in Lviv
This week, NUCC accompanied a Norwegian delegation from the Norway–Ukraine Building and Construction Hub to Lviv. The visit brought Norwegian construction expertise into direct dialogue with Ukrainian cities, businesses, researchers and reconstruction projects.
The Norway–Ukraine Building and Construction Hub is led by SINTEF, with NUCC as a partner. It connects Norwegian and Ukrainian actors across the construction sector. The aim is to develop concrete cooperation and contribute to Ukraine’s sustainable reconstruction. Representatives from SINTEF, NUCC, AF Gruppen and Asplan Viak took part in the visit.

Over three intensive days, they met with Lviv City Council, Ukrainian construction companies and Lviv Polytechnic National University. Meetings were also held with Innovation Norway, SUP (Ukrainian Union of Entrepreneurs), NEFCO and UNDP, as well as regional authorities and representatives of parliament. The discussions focused on sustainable construction, research cooperation, financing and specific reconstruction needs.

For NUCC, the Hub is about bringing the right Norwegian and Ukrainian partners together. It is about identifying real needs and turning them into partnerships, pilot projects and business opportunities.

Together, we are building stronger Norwegian-Ukrainian partnerships for Ukraine’s sustainable reconstruction. 🤝
