New Funding Opportunity: Support for Projects that Strengthen Norway–Ukraine Cooperation

The Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir) has announced a new call for proposals under the Ukraine Competence Programme (UA-KOMP).

The programme aims to strengthen knowledge about Ukraine in Norwegian society and equip Norwegian organisations, businesses and institutions to build stronger cooperation with Ukrainian partners.

This funding opportunity is open to a broad range of applicants, including companies, NGOs, public institutions, municipalities, educational institutions, cultural organisations, libraries, industry associations and other entities registered in Norway.

What can be funded?

Projects should contribute to one or both of the following objectives:

  • Increase knowledge and awareness about Ukraine in Norwegian society.
  • Strengthen Norwegian actors' ability to cooperate with Ukrainian partners.

Examples of eligible activities include:

  • Seminars, conferences and public events
  • Training courses and workshops
  • Podcasts, films, publications and other information materials
  • Digital learning resources
  • Networking and cooperation initiatives
  • Travel and project-related activities

Projects may receive between NOK 30,000 and NOK 200,000 and can run for up to 12 months during 2027.

Who can apply?

Any organisation registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises (Enhetsregisteret) may apply.
