Lviv Croissants Opens Its First Café in Norway – A New Chapter for Ukrainian Cuisine in Oslo

Today marked an exciting milestone for Ukrainian entrepreneurship in Norway: the grand opening of Lviv Croissants in Oslo, the first Norwegian location of the internationally renowned Ukrainian café chain. The long-awaited event drew an impressive crowd, with Oslo residents gathering to taste the brand’s signature freshly baked croissants, enjoy a festive atmosphere, and take part in giveaways and social activities.

The aroma of warm, buttery pastry filled the air as guests sampled the café’s famous oversized croissants, generously filled with a wide variety of sweet and savoury options. For many visitors, it was their first encounter with the unique style and flavours that have made Lviv Croissants one of Ukraine’s most recognisable food brands.

During the opening, we spoke with Sofiia Garmash, the general manager of the new Oslo café. She highlighted the importance of supporting Ukrainian businesses abroad, especially in today’s challenging geopolitical landscape.

“Ukrainian entrepreneurs continue to show resilience, creativity, and ambition - no matter where they are,” Sofiia said. “Opening this café in Oslo is our way of sharing a piece of home with Norwegians and the international community. It’s important for us to present Ukrainian cuisine and culture to the world, and to remind people of who we are and what we stand for.”

The arrival of Lviv Croissants in Norway represents more than just a culinary expansion. It is a symbol of cultural exchange, community support, and the growing presence of Ukrainian businesses in the Nordic region. For Oslo’s Ukrainian community, the café offers a comforting taste of home. For Norwegians, it is an invitation to discover authentic flavours deeply rooted in Ukrainian tradition.

As guests enjoyed their warm pastries and celebrated this vibrant new addition to the city, one thing was clear: Lviv Croissants has brought a new sense of energy, flavour, and cultural richness to Oslo’s food scene.

NUCC congratulates Sofiia and her team on this important launch and looks forward to seeing Ukrainian entrepreneurship continue to thrive in Norway.
