NOCON Establishes Permanent Presence in Kyiv
Our member NOCON has officially opened its Ukrainian subsidiary in Kyiv — now located in the historic Architect’s House in central Kyiv.
This step reflects a long-term commitment to strengthening Nordic–Ukrainian industrial cooperation at a time when Ukraine is increasingly emerging not only as a reconstruction market, but as a strategic industrial and technological partner within Europe’s evolving economic landscape.
“For us, this is a long-term commitment to being present in Ukraine and contributing to the next phase of cooperation between Ukraine and the Nordic region. We believe reconstruction is not only about rebuilding infrastructure, but also about creating new partnerships and sustainable opportunities for the future”, says Svitlana Svyrydenko, Country Director of NOCON Ukraine.
NOCON acts as a facilitator and strategic partner for Nordic companies exploring opportunities in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, building trusted partnerships, and reducing operational and market-entry risks through:
· Structured phased market-entry pathways with clear decision gates;
· Identification and validation of real demand and credible project opportunities;
· Local institutional access and stakeholder alignment;
· Navigation of regulatory, permitting, and execution frameworks;
· Establishment of local presence and operational capability where needed;
· Early-stage project development, structuring, and pilot concepts;
· Providing ongoing project management and local coordination throughout project implementation.
With a permanent presence in Kyiv, NOCON further strengthens its capacity to assist Nordic companies engaging in Ukraine’s reconstruction, energy transition, and industrial development through practical local insight, trusted networks, and hands-on project support directly on the ground.
“Following the full-scale invasion in 2022, it became impossible for us to remain passive observers to the immense injustice and suffering taking place in Ukraine. Ukraine was — and still is — defending the values underpinning our shared European order at a time when those values are increasingly under global pressure.
We believed those with the ability to contribute should engage. At the intersection of responsibility, competence, and long-term industrial opportunity, NOCON was created.
Through our work in Ukraine and the relationships we have built there, I have grown increasingly aware of the deep historical and cultural ties between Ukraine and the Nordic region. In many ways, this is about reconnecting long-standing bonds.
Opening our office in Kyiv marks another important step in NOCON’s long-term commitment to Ukraine. We are here to stay — and to provide professional and heartfelt support to our partners and clients both in Ukraine and abroad.”
