NUCC participated in seminar on heightened due diligence for business activities in Ukraine
On November 6, 2025, Norad, Innovation Norway, and the Norwegian OECD National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct jointly organized the seminar “Heightened Due Diligence for Business Activities in Ukraine” in Oslo. The event gathered representatives from Norwegian companies, public institutions, and civil society to discuss responsible business practices in Ukraine amid the ongoing war and evolving international due diligence requirements.

The program covered the Transparency Act and international standards, followed by a session on key risks for Norwegian companies in Ukraine — corruption, labor rights, and gender equality — moderated by Eli Bleie Munkelien (ESG Lead, Innovation Norway).

NUCC took part in the panel “Challenges and Risks for Norwegian Companies in Ukraine”, represented by our Managing Director, Kjartan Svaland Tveitnes. The discussion offered valuable insights into the realities of operating in Ukraine and highlighted the importance of transparency, compliance, and long-term commitment.

The final session, “Heightened Due Diligence in War and Conflict”, featured contributions from UNDP, Transparency International Ukraine, LO, NHO, and Norad’s Nansen Programme, exploring how international principles can be applied in conflict-affected contexts.
Through our participation, NUCC reaffirmed its commitment to promoting responsible and sustainable Norwegian-Ukrainian business cooperation.
