SUPERNOVA Scenario Workshop in Bodø: Shaping Norwegian–Ukrainian Cooperation Towards 2035
On 11–12 February 2026, partners and participants of the SUPERNOVA project gathered in Bodø for the first scenario workshop — an important milestone in shaping what Norwegian–Ukrainian cooperation could look like in 2035, and what this means for Nordland already today.
The workshop brought together representatives from academia, public institutions, business, and civil society through #Nordlandsnettverket, including Nord University, BRUS, KPB, Bodø Kommune, Nordland fylkeskommune, and Nav Frivillig Bodø.
Over two intensive days of dialogue, reflection, and group work, participants explored future-oriented scenarios focusing on:
- Knowledge exchange between Norway and Ukraine
- Competence needs and education development
- Cross-sector partnerships
- Regional opportunities in Nordland
- Long-term sustainable cooperation models
The discussions resulted in draft scenarios outlining how structured collaboration can strengthen both regional development in Nordland and long-term Norwegian–Ukrainian partnerships.
For NUCC, participation in SUPERNOVA is highly relevant. Strengthening cooperation between academia, public institutions, business, and civil society is essential for building sustainable bilateral partnerships. Developing future-oriented competence, fostering structured knowledge exchange, and identifying concrete regional opportunities are long-term efforts that create real and measurable impact.
SUPERNOVA is funded by HK-dir (The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills) through the Programme for Ukraina-kompetanse (UA-KOMP). The project is coordinated by Nord University and brings together Norwegian and Ukrainian partners committed to building long-term cooperation structures.
This workshop marks the beginning of a shared journey — not only about ideas, but about building structures, relationships, and educational programmes that will shape the next decade of cooperation.
NUCC is proud to be part of this important initiative and looks forward to contributing further to the SUPERNOVA process.
