Two-Day Business Seminar on Entering the Norwegian Market Held in Lviv
On 25-26 March 2026, a practical two-day business seminar dedicated to opportunities for Ukrainian companies to enter the Norwegian market took place in Lviv. The event was organized by the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC) in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Support Center of the Lviv City Council.

The seminar brought together representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises interested in expanding their export activities and establishing partnerships with Norwegian counterparts. The event was opened with welcome remarks by a representative of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine. In addition, the Department of Economic Development of the Lviv City Council presented the economic potential of Lviv.

Over the course of two days, participants gained practical knowledge and valuable insights into the Norwegian market, business culture and real opportunities for Ukrainian companies.
The programme covered key aspects of entering the Norwegian market, including:
- how the Norwegian market functions, customer behavior, and practical insights from NUCC;
- specifics of cooperation with Norwegian companies, including business culture and communication styles;
- financial support instruments provided by Norwegian and international institutions;
- an overview of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and the EFTA countries;
- practical approaches to export readiness and attracting financing.

Special attention was given to practical case discussions and common challenges faced by Ukrainian companies when entering international markets, as well as ways to overcome them. Participants had the opportunity to engage with experts, ask questions, and discuss their own business cases.

The seminar featured contributions from experts of the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives of First Chair Legal, who provided insights into the opportunities arising from the Ukraine-EFTA Free Trade Agreement, including rules of origin and customs procedures, and BDO in Ukraine, who shared practical approaches to preparing projects for financing and export development.

The seminar marked another step in supporting Ukrainian businesses in their integration into international markets and in strengthening economic cooperation between Ukraine and Norway.

NUCC expresses its sincere appreciation to its partners - the Lviv City Council Entrepreneurship Support Center - for their fruitful cooperation in organizing the event.
